The weather here is much like that of Oregon's weather in the winter. Chilly and gray during the days and cold at night. It warms up nicely mid afternoon and there are glorious periods throughout the day where the clouds disappear. As a boy from Texas, it is a little cold but the scenery more than makes up for it.
I plan on going back to Long Beach relatively soon for a climbing trip. Just a few people and a crash pad for a day of bouldering. There are a bunch of open faces to climb around on and a few awesome caves that promise some sweet routes. Best part is that climbing is way cheap. Unlike skiing.
